Information about MS Nyksund:

On October 6th, 2017, MS Nyksund, NSK Shipping’s third completed build, was delivered from the Turkish shipyard Tersan. As with its somewhat smaller predecessor, the MS Høydal, Nyksund features state-of-the-art, gas-powered technology, and is fully equipped with 2160kW Rolls Royce engines. Featuring a large mechanic crane with a 50-ton capacity, the vessel is set to supply fish farming facilities with bulk orders of fish feed. The production of MS Nyksund represents a continuation in BioMar’s shift towards environmentally friendly cargo vessels, as well as a broader desire for sustainable aquaculture. Thanks to the increased total load capacity of the Nyksund, 200 m3/t, transportation of fish feed will become more cost-efficient and environmentally friendly.

The vessel holds a crew of 7, and offers amenities such as an on-board gym, sauna, and lounge area.
