Project Story
NSK Ship Design has developed a new battery-hybrid vessel for Brønnbåt Nord, with a well volume of 5,000 m³. The vessel will be built at Zamakona Shipyard in Bilbao, with delivery scheduled for 2029.
The newbuild is a further development of Caspian, delivered to Brønnbåt Nord in 2024, and builds on the collaboration between the shipowner and NSK. Brønnbåt Nord’s close ties with fish farmers in Northern Norway have provided valuable insight into operational needs at the farms. Together, the shipowner and NSK have developed a vessel designed to meet growing demand for the transport and treatment of live fish in Northern Norway.
