Project Story

Cecon Vigor is a cable-laying and construction support vessel developed for Agalas and built at Sefine Shipyard. The vessel is designed for offshore wind, subsea and cable operations, where deck area, cargo capacity, crane, DP and the energy system need to function as an integrated operational platform.

The design combines a cable tank, large working deck and construction capabilities in a hull of approximately 100 metres. This gives the vessel the flexibility to handle cable, light construction, equipment mobilisation and project-specific operations.

The energy concept is a central element of the design. Diesel-electric propulsion, battery power and a dual-fuel methanol/diesel solution provide the vessel with a more future-ready energy profile while maintaining redundancy and operational reliability for demanding offshore operations.

The working deck is designed as a flexible project platform. The crane, cable tank, ROV/survey equipment and mobilisable project equipment must be positioned and operated without compromising safety, load paths or onboard logistics.

Cecon Vigor demonstrates how a modern offshore vessel can combine lower-emission energy systems with strong practical functionality in a design developed for a wide range of assignments.
